As we continue on in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus has challenged the teachings of the religious leaders of the time and encouraged those listening to a way of living that is counter cultural. In an effort to provide his followers with a seemingly simple, yet meaningful way to engage with God through prayer, most commonly known as the Lord’s Prayer. Together we’ll discover how this method of prayer is much more than a handy guide on what to pray when no other words come to mind. The prayer, if we meditate on each petition, serves as a moral compass that reveals the best way to go before the Father in requesting His guidance and protection.
