Our Leadership

Donny, a native of Fremont, has called Santa Cruz home since 2013.

Prior to joining the team as Abbey Manager, he had worked in three different cafes and also spent seven memorable years at Mount Hermon, serving in roles ranging from summer camp counselor to various support positions, eventually wrapping up his time there by leading team-building adventures and working on the ropes courses.

Donny is excited to be part of the VFC team and loves the church’s focus on forming thoughtful disciples. One of his favorite parts of his role is welcoming people to VFC through The Abbey and helping create a space where everyone can be known and feel genuinely welcomed.

A self-proclaimed nerd (in the best way), Donny loves all kinds of games - video games, board games, party games, tabletop strategy, and RPGs. He also enjoys walks, hikes, and is getting back into camping. You may even find him learning how to sail and trying his hand at cooking new dishes every week.
