Purchase Gifts for those in need - Pregnancy Resource Center

Help purchase gifts for in-need kids served by Pregnancy Resource Center! This Christmas, we hope to serve over 120 kiddos. In years past (in addition to gifts) our community has provided diapers, strollers, grocery gift cards, and prayer for families in need.

To learn more or to sign up to buy gifts for a child in need, please come check out our Local Christmas Compassion table after any of our Sunday gatherings on 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23 and 11/30!

Gifts need to be returned to us UNWRAPPED by Monday, December 1st. Please make sure all gifts are returned together and each gift labelled with the child’s name/number that you received. You can bring gifts after any of our Sunday gatherings, or in our Main Office during the week (Mon-Thurs 10am-2pm).

I’D LIKE TO PROVIDE GIFTS!

Help at our Wrapping Party!

We’d LOVE to have your help as we wrap all of the gifts for our Christmas Compassion drive! We will be gathering in the GYM for an assembly-line style night of fun and community as we finish the process of collecting and wrapping all of the gifts for the families we will be supporting.

We’ll have some Christmas tunes and treats to round out the evening. Hope to see you there from 6:30pm-8:30pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2025! CLICK HERE to sign up so we know to expect you!

Serve at our Family Christmas Party!

If you’d like to take part in sharing a unique time of connection & prayer with the PRC families and other families from throughout our community, CLICK HERE to sign up and join us in the VFC Sanctuary on Saturday, 12/6 from 8am-11am. We are excited to greet, connect & pray while distributing gifts to PRC families. *We’d especially love people who can speak Spanish.

Hygiene Kit Drive.

Stop by the courtyard on Sundays (or click this link and select “Local Compassion”) to sponsor hygiene kits that will be delivered to our partners at Housing Matters and YWAM Santa Cruz, as well as kept here at Vintage for folks who come into the front office in need of help! At a cost of $4 per kit, you can provide essential resources for people in need. We are raising $1000 to assemble 250 kits this year! In addition to this, we will also be hosting an packing party on December 7 from 12:45pm-2pm to assemble the bags and spend time praying for this branch of compassion ministry. Registration for the event is available HERE: https://vfchurch.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3261174

REBUILDING THE LODGE

Part of what we (VFC) commit to, is helping to build God’s Kingdom (Worshipping Communities of Missional Theologians) not just here in Santa Cruz, but ALL around the world. This is where our Global Ministry Partners come into play! We partner in prayer and financial support with individuals and organizations around the world who are doing this good work to help build up the church and spread the Gospel—the good news of Jesus Christ.

Now, as you know, there are areas of the world where those global partners are actually putting their safety, in some cases their very lives, on the line to do this missional, gospel work. Our Christmas Compassion Project this year pertains to an organization doing that kind of work.

This year we are partnering with an organization focusing their efforts in the 10/40 window—an area of the world, stretching from North Africa to East Asia known for containing a high concentration of the world's unreached people groups. Located within this window, The Lodge is more than just a place with beds and meeting rooms.

For decades, the Lodge has been a refuge for those seeking rest from persecution, a training ground where Jesus-focused leaders are equipped for ministry, and a launching base for sending out workers to bring the Gospel–the good news of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection–to unreached places. Thousands of men and women have been strengthened in their faith, discipled in God’s Word, and sent out from this very location.

Recently a flood devastated The Lodge, leaving behind damaged walls, decimated meeting rooms and recreation areas, unusable furniture and a crippled infrastructure. Yet, by God’s grace, the main structures of the buildings remain intact.

Now, at this moment of crisis, we face an urgent and historic opportunity: to help restore what has been lost and to rebuild a center that will continue serving the advancement of the Gospel for generations. This is not just about repairing buildings—it is about renewing a vital hub of ministry.

To fully restore what has been destroyed will take a grand total of $1,550,000. Together, with other missional churches we can help ensure this vital ministry center not only recovers, but thrives for years to come.

Budget Breakdown:

  • Buildings $740,000 (Dining hall, guest rooms, kitchen, staff quarters, office, furniture, and walls)

  • Outdoor Facilities $450,000 (Sports courts, courtyards, landscaping, riverbank, ropes course, recreation areas)

  • Infrastructure $360,000 (Transformers, pipelines, septic, water, fire safety, A/C and heating systems)

Grand Total $1,550,000

How You Can Help?

OUR 2025 VFC Global Christmas Compassion goal is to provide $25,000 towards this rebuild. Every dollar given will go directly towards the budgeted items listed above.
