Volunteers

Our main goal for kids during the Sunday gathering is to provide a safe, caring and loving environment that kids can enjoy and parents can trust. To achieve this, we invite members in our community to serve in their areas of giftedness. We have a screening process, including background checks, ongoing trainings and an interview.

Early Childhood (Ages 0-5)

Nursery (0-24mo.)- The nursery has been created to be a safe, caring place for infants and walking kids up to 24 months old. Parents are welcome to stay in the nursery or can leave their child with caring volunteers who would love to comfort and care for your baby.

Toddlers (24mo.-3 years)- This class gives toddlers the opportunity to move around and interact with other kids and fun volunteers. Teachers begin to incorporate short lessons, stories, art projects and prayer into the time they have with the kids.

Preschool (3 years-Kindergarten)- The preschool class incorporates teaching children through different methods of teaching-stories, teacher testimonies, art, song and play.

Elementary (1st-5th Grade)

Elementary- Our desire is for elementary age kids to be able to observe and worship with their families and in the adult community. To support parents in the teaching of their children we provide different ways for kids to learn truths about God.

There are three elements of our ministry to elementary aged kids:

Worship with families: Children are checked in by their parent or guardian before the gathering begins, they then join their families in the larger gathering for musical worship. After musical worship, kids are escorted by their teachers to the children's building.

Communion Gatherings: Once a month, the Vintage Faith community worships together in the gathering by taking communion. On these mornings, elementary age kids are invited to stay with their families. We provide for them a "Little Theologian Packet", which includes a bulletin for kids to follow along with the devotional message.

Lessons are developed to minister to the whole child-their mental, physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs. As much as possible, the lessons are intended to coincide with the existing learning process at work in each distinct age range. We acknowledge preschoolers, first graders and fifth graders are all at different stages in development and are capable of understanding different truths about God. We want to be in tune with the existing developmental process of each individual child.
