Your Local Justice & Compassion Ministry is excited to partner with Costanoa High School, a local school that serves at-risk youth and foster youth that have a difficult time acclimating to a traditional school setting. Many of the students are in transition without a stable home life and don’t have the resources to meet their basic needs.
This summer we are teaming up with Costanoa High to help prepare these students for the start of a new school year with much needed backpacks filled with school supplies. Let’s help these students start off the school year right! Our goal is to supply 50 students with 50 complete backpack kits!
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Help by purchasing the following items:
- solid color backpacks (neutral colors only- no red or blue)
- index cards
- thumb drives
- ballpoint pens
- construction paper
You can commit to buy just the backpack or just the supplies or both.
We’ll collect backpacks/supplies Aug 8-28. A collection bin is available all day on Sundays and in our main office (Mon-Thurs, 10-4pm). We’ll be having a Packing Party on Sunday August 28th, after the 11 am gathering, to fill backpacks and get them ready for delivery.
