This is the third installment in a series of short workshops to grow our ability to listen with compassion and to love others by our listening like Jesus did. This time we’ll be learning how to ask great questions that give us the opportunity to listen to the hearts of those we counsel or lead in small groups.
Workshop #3 again has biblical passages to learn from, and we will also use the book: “How to Ask Great Questions” to guide us into effective caring.
This workshop is for anyone interested in serving on the Vintage Relational Care team, those already serving as Volunteer Counselors or in the Prayer Cove, as well as anyone else in a ministry where listening is key to your caring (Community group leaders, youth, college, or 20’s/30’s leaders, etc.). A special invitation is out to any small group leader.
IMPORTANT: You don’t need to have come to the first or second workshop to participate in this one!! (But if you did come, you’ll get a chance to go deeper.)
If you want to have a copy of the book as a resource, you can request it when you sign up. The cost of the book is: $9.
Workshop location: Vintage Faith Church, Fireside Room.
This workshop is FREE! We’d love to have you join us. Sign up at the Connections Table after a gathering on 7/26 or 8/2 or send an email to polly@vintagechurch .org.
