Global Christmas Compassion

The world is experiencing the largest migration of people in our modern era (59.5 million) as the crisis in Syria and Iraq rages. Many nations are facing unprecedented conflict. Families are being forced to leave their homes and countries as Christians are being persecuted and martyred by ISIS. The world seemed to awaken to the tragedy of this crisis through a single picture: that of a 3 year old boy lying lifeless on a shoreline.

Despite the overwhelming needs before us and as tragic as the crisis is, followers of Jesus have an incredible opportunity to respond. We must do for some what we wish we could do everyone.

Provide Winter Kits

Vintage Faith is working with long-time missionaries Bob & Suzanne Robertson (supported by Twin Lakes Church) who serve in Jordan. Their small 100 person church is currently attempting to care for over 500 desperate and persecuted refugees. As a cold winter approaches the region, our aim is to provide 100 families with “Winter Kits” to help them through the season.

Details

  • $50 buys a “Winter Kit” for a family of four, providing clothes, blankets, stoves, heating fuel, etc for the very cold Jordan winter.
  • You can give the entire amount to purchase one (or more), or give toward a portion of a single kit. Whatever you give makes a difference!
  • Sign up to give at our table after our Sunday gatherings on 11/29, 12/6 or 12/13 or visitvintagechurch.org/christmascompassion
