No one wants to settle. It’s not something anyone ever sets out to do. And yet we find ourselves settling all the time. Sadly, this is often most true of our lives of following Jesus. In the obscure, often-missed book called Jude, we find a treasure trove of encouragement, challenge, and practical help for embracing a deeper walk as we pursue a life that looks more and more Christ-like day by day.
In this teaching series, we explore the timeless truths of this ancient letter and discover how they can propel us toward transformation.
Sunday June 11th - As we kick off this series, we’ll discover the powerful call to leave behind the nominal Christian life and pursue depth in our pursuit of Jesus.
Sunday June 18th - The most powerful thing about being human is the power to choose. We can choose to follow God or we can choose otherwise. Jude offers a sobering picture of the sort of life that results from choosing anything other than God. In this teaching we explore the choices before us, the sobering reality of some of those choices, and the opportunity we have to choose rightly.
Sunday June 25th - “Be merciful to those who doubt; save others.” This is the calling and challenge offered in this portion of Jude. In this teaching we explore the powerful potential in living with generational perspective and pouring ourselves into the work of reaching generations that follow us, to help and guide them toward Jesus.
Sunday July 2nd - God saves. Our hope rests in this tremendous truth. In spite of our faults and failures, we have a God who saves. This leads us into great joy. As we conclude our journey through Jude, in this teaching we explore, embrace, and celebrate the great hope and great joy we find in this powerful truth.
