Amy Boschen

Children's Ministry Director

Amy B oversees the Children’s ministry which includes developing, encouraging and training volunteer leaders, choosing curriculum, and generally loving on all the wonderful children, elementary age and younger, who are part of our community.

Amy was born in Healdsburg, California and then brought to Santa Cruz to live out the rest of her days. She has fantastic parents and one little brother and one little sister who are both taller than she is. Amy was raised attending Santa Cruz Bible Church where she met her future husband when they were in the fifth grade.  After graduating high school, Amy began serving as a youth leader at Santa Cruz Bible Church and had about 2.3 billion good times while on staff there. Amy attended Cabrillo College (a two-year junior college) for about 4 1/2 years and then decided that being a wife was surely the calling on her life.  She married her forever sweetheart, David, in April of 2007.

Amy has been the Director of Children's Ministries at Vintage Faith Church since October of 2007.  This position is a melting pot of all of Amy's previous duties in the work place. She has worked for Starbucks, Beehive Preschool, Asiana Education Development, Hand In Hand Foundation, and Santa Cruz Bible Church. Amy is very excited about her somewhat new position at Vintage Faith Church. She has a passion for teaching children, but also hopes to develop others who want to teach.  Amy aspires to see a ministry where teenagers, college students, singles, moms and dads, and grandparents use their gifts to bless the lives of children. She believes that we all have pieces of knowledge, talent, and wisdom that kids need as they grow.

Amy loves: travelling, learning new cultures, riding in airplanes, going to parties, taking long walks, writing, holding newborns, decorating for Christmas, singing harmonies with her best friend Lauren, eating foreign foods, American Eagle jeans, the book of James, Switchfoot, tea and coffee, sunshine, and listening to her husband's bedtime stories. Amy and David (and their goldfish, Big Tuna) live in the smallest apartment in Soquel and frequently try to fit more than fifteen people inside it.
